Good directions by Billy Currington https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY9D01WPIN0

The purpose of this song is to tell a story about how a city girl gets lost somewhere out in the country and she eventually comes back to the guy who gave her "good directions". The directed audience of this song is country music fans for the most part because this is a big main stream country artist. I think the rhetorical appeals of this song are mainly ethos because it appeals to the listeners emotions about missing out on a chance to date/introduce yourself to someone that is a one in a million chance of meeting. Then she eventually makes her way back so he gets a second chance, and everyone has endured a time where they wish they could have that second chance. This song evokes a bubbly or happy mood because its not super upbeat and it is also not depressing and dramatically sad. The lyrics fall into this category because he talks about kicking his self for not getting her name. The genre conventions that make this song different are the fact the Billy Currington mentions his mom in the equation with her owning the corner store. This just shows how he is from a small town and then it emphasizes that she's from the big city. I think that is what makes this song different because usually in country music it's about two southern people not about country meeting city.
